The Moroccan Pavilion was officially inaugurated on January 17, at the 89th edition of the International Green Week (Grüne Woche) in Berlin, a major global event focused on agriculture and food.

The event, running until January 26 in the German capital, provides Morocco with a platform to promote its agricultural products and strengthen its presence in international markets.

Moroccan Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, Ahmed El Bouari, and his German counterpart, Cem Özdemir, led the inauguration. They were joined by high-ranking officials, Moroccan professionals, and representatives from the Moroccan Embassy in Berlin.

El Bouari emphasized that Morocco’s participation reflects the country’s ambition to position its products as global benchmarks for quality and sustainability, while also sharing its expertise in environmentally friendly agriculture.

The Moroccan Pavilion, a display of the kingdom’s rich agricultural and cultural heritage, hosts 21 exhibitors representing 39 cooperatives, including one from a region impacted by recent disasters. Notably, eight of these cooperatives are participating in an international event for the first time, and a significant portion of their members are women from rural areas.

This year, the focus is on showcasing key Moroccan products, including renowned argan oil, high-quality olive oil, prized saffron, delectable dates, and a wide variety of medicinal and aromatic plants. Sourced from all 12 regions of the Kingdom, these products adhere to stringent international quality and sustainability standards, making them highly sought-after in global markets.

Morocco’s participation aligns with the “Generation Green 2020-2030” strategy, which promotes modern, sustainable, and inclusive agriculture.

Founded in 1926, Berlin’s Green Week is one of the world’s largest trade fairs dedicated to food, agriculture, and horticulture. The 2025 edition will host over 1,500 exhibitors from around 60 countries and attract approximately 400,000 visitors, making Berlin a key hub for agro-food industry exchanges.
