Calling all Cape Farmers

Following a successful Nampo 2023 show in Bothaville in May, BMG will be exhibiting at the Nampo Cape Show for the first time. This prestigious agricultural exhibition, which is held annually at Bredasdrop Park, will take place this year from 13 to 16 September 2023.

This show, which attracted nearly 33 000 visitors last year, will be the perfect forum to launch new BMG agriculturalproducts to the Cape region. The BMG site, located outside at stand 90, will display our recently upgraded BTC bearing block unit (BBU) and housingproducts, which are manufactured exclusively for BMG, to stringent quality and safety specifications, explains Carlo Beukes, Business Development Manager, Agricultural, Automotive and Lubricationdivisions, BMG. Originally the BTC range was developed for light to medium rotating equipment applications, includingpackhouses and small conveyorsin general industry and the agricultural sector. However, with important upgrades, these robust BTC bearings and components are also perfectly suited for heavyduty applications inmining, for example crushersand overland incline conveyor systems. The latest BTC pillow blocks biodegradable packaging excludes any plastic material, resulting in a saving of about 300 000 plastic bags a year.

We will also be introducing two new agricultural specific lubricants at the Nampo CapeShow a corn head grease and a transmission flow grease both of which form part of BMGs Boerslim/Smartfarming portfolio.

In addition, we will highlight our BMG online shopping platform, which is gaining popularity with farmers as a convenient way to procure engineering and agricultural products.This service is especially important for farmers who are located a great distance from the nearest BMG branch.

Working displays at Nampo will include components for agricultural fruit packhouses, likefood-grade conveyor belts, pneumatics and variable speed drives. BMG will also showcasenew products, including Liqui Moly oil kits and additives,designed specifically for new bakkies, like the Hilux GD-6, Land Cruiser and Ranger brands.

Also on display will be the Rat-Ban, Silencer Cleaner and ceramic-based Ceratec from Liqui Moly, as well as Cummins individual filters and kits for bakkies and large agri implements, including John Deere, Case and New Holland.

The distinctive range of BoerSlim clothing reflects BMGs BoerSlim/Smart Farmingprogramme, where the team assistsfarmers to embrace advancements in agricultural machinery. Through this initiative, BMG offers sustainable solutionsthat focus on effective food production, the correct use of suitable equipment for specific tasks and the efficient application of the latest technologies.

BMGs stand will be manned by a team of specialists throughout the show.
